Introduction to continental knitting
A quicker, smoother way to knit — come learn the continental style.
Curious about continental knitting? This one‑hour workshop is the perfect place to start. Continental knitting uses a different way of holding your yarn, often making your stitches faster, more efficient, and wonderfully rhythmic. It’s a great technique for anyone who wants to build speed, improve tension, or simply add a new skill to their knitting toolkit.
In this friendly, hands‑on session, you’ll learn how to hold your yarn in your left hand, work the knit and purl stitches continental‑style, and practise simple rows to build confidence. We keep things relaxed, supportive, and beginner‑friendly — no pressure, just learning at your own pace.
Please bring your own needles and yarn (any smooth DK or Aran yarn and 4–5mm needles work perfectly).
